I am reading a book right now by Heather Nestleroad called God Has Better Things to do Than My Laundry. She’s funny….I’m not! I am far too serious. I don’t get most jokes let alone have funny things to say. I truly appreciate those who can take the mundane experiences that we all have and make me laugh. I would love that skill. Maybe it is just a mater of focus. Maybe I’m broken. I don’t really know.
This is why I love books so much. They carry me away on adventures…they broaden my vocabulary…they make me laugh.
